A serial check tells me my drive CAN do backups, but I did not have DARKCORP installed, so it currently can't do it. If it comes down to opening the Wii up, I'm wondering if most prudent course of action would be to get a DriveKey (moderately priced with relatively low installation difficulty-I've had to transplant 1.8" HDD with the same types of ribbon cables, so I'm familiar with how they work). Am I correct in assuming that this is one that will have to have some hardware work done (NAND reflash, drivechip installed, et al) or do I still have nondestructive options? PS. However, at this stage it seems I don't have the capacity to reach BootMii, the HBC, WAD Manager, or any other means to take the offending WAD off. My only saving grace is that before all this havoc began, I DID use BootMii IOS to back up the NAND. I have attempted to use SaveMiiFrii using a burned recovery disc (I'm pretty confident I installed some sort of backup-enabling system), but this is probably a model where burned discs cannot be read, and there don't appear to be any places to get the discs pressed. Thought I had Priiloader installed, but it either failed to install or it got overlooked, and it is not a model that can do BootMii via boot2.
